As for the poster itself, well, it look a lot like this Hero poster:

I’m guessing that this is not a coincidence, especially since both films are being released by the Weinsteins.

I generally like both posters, but the one for DOA amps the cheese factor significantly, making it less effective. Cowboy hats just don’t go together with swords.
