The message of the poster is “behind this dull facade there are many secrets.” Not only does it deliver this message clearly, it does so with a very memorable image. And it manages to showcase the star to boot.
I love the surrealistic feel of the poster. Kevin Costner taking a piece of his face off. It catches your attention immediately, and it almost forces you to look closer. And it’s something that you are likely to remember quite clearly, even if you just get so see it briefly.
