The Perfect Holiday Poster

The Perfect Holiday Poster

Well, the holidays must be getting closer, because here is another crappy poster for a Christmas themed movie.

Maybe the problem is me. Maybe I’m getting old and cynical and can no longer appreciate the simple naive joys of Christmas. But this poster just screams bad Christmas movie to me. Everything about it annoys me, from the title (not just good, it’s perfect!) to the whimsical use of the snow globe and the Christmas balls.

Like I said, maybe it’s just me.

Agreed, I’m not wild about the whole CGI look, and how everything looks like it’s been hit with dulling spray or matte varnish. But it’s kind of intriguing: what exactly is happening in the snowglobe? Why doesn’t Queen Latifah get to be in there? Is that why she’s sending the lightning blast from her head, out of jealousy?

Mostly it seems a shame that two very niche movies (African-American holiday films - how many of those do you see?) will be competing against each other this year (this film vs. Last Christmas), canceling each other out to some degree. Hopefully their dates will be a couple of weeks apart.

Now if only I can figure out what’s keeping the red Christmas ball from obeying gravity, rolling over, and leaning on its tip, the way the other two are… must be Holiday magic!

Stop complaining about something so pointless, The way you described the poster like it was the most disgusting thing you’ve ever seen was rather annoying, quite frankly it’s a nice Poster it gets the point across with out using to much decoration in the background to through off the whole purpose of the poster. And seriously you and mister Andrew T here need to go on a little scavenger hunt for something called creativity, seriously your complaints eluminate your inability to coop without excessive attention and it’s simply pathetic however i cannot stop you from doin what you please but i can assure you it’s rather dull and un-needed attention that your causing here.

    Sincerely
