Well, I didn't want to spoil it for the people who haven't seen the movie yet, but if you insist on asking...

Diary of the Dead introduces a new king of foe in the form of a Zombie/Ghost hybrid. These Ghombies can't be seen by the naked eye, but cameras and other high tech equipment are able to reveal them. This leads to several tense moments in the film as the person holding the camera has to warn his/her mates about the incoming danger. "There is one coming at you from the right! No, the other right! Actually, just sit down, we have enough time for a snack before he gets to you."

Now you know.

I'll repeat a comment here that I left on Chris T's Movie Marketing Madness site about this poster, because I'm desperate to hear an answer and he apparently doesn't have one - that and the fact that I'm criminally lazy.

This is going to sound nit-picky and overly literal, but the very conceit of this movie is one of literal video interpretation of these events. With that in mind, consider this question:

Why aren’t the zombies seen in the viewfinder - in REC mode - not physically in front of the camera?
